Protected

I’ve been thinking about the post I wrote yesterday. It’s a story of something incredibly stupid I did while traveling. Fortunately, God protected me in that situation, and everything turned out fine.

I can think of specific situations (including the one mentioned above) where God has spared me from harm. How many times has he saved me that I didn’t recognize?

As a mother of young children, I feel like I’m constantly trying to protect my little ones from impulsive actions that could result in physical, mental, or emotional damage. They have no idea what the long-term results of running out in front of a car or playing around the stove while I’m cooking could be! It’s a full-time job that can be nerve-wracking sometimes.

Like my children, I can’t see the long-term consequences of some of the things I do. Fortunately, God does, and I’m sure He protects me more often than I can imagine. I believe that those extra seconds it takes us to get out of the house sometimes save us from horrible situations.

As I was thinking about all of this, a passage of Scripture and a song came to mind. I would like to share both with you now.

For he will order his angels
to protect you wherever you go.
They will hold you up with their hands . . . “

Psalm 91:11-12a (NLT)

Are there times you know God has spared you? Or do you just have a sense that He is watching over you? Share your story today!

Oh, man, Jennifer. Too many times to count. My mother’s battle with cancer was an example. God had His hands on her the whole time and sent angels to watch over her.

My MRI was clear, even though I have so many symptoms of MS. Once again, he kept me from danger.

Every time I fall, something catches me before I break something.

He is wonderful and our eternal guardian.

    Love, Carmen

    • Those are great reminders of His hands on you and your family! You have certainly been well-cared for.

“He is wonderful and our eternal guardian.” That is so true . . . and so beautifully expressed.

      Love, Jennifer

      • Hi Jennifer,
Hope you are feeling better. I received your comment on my PLAN, PLAN, PLAN post in my email. Somehow, though, it won’t post to the blog, so I just pasted the comment in from the email without any private info.
Thanks for stopping by. I think the editorial calendar will definitely help me.

        • Thank you. I’m working on feeling better.

It’s fine that you copied and pasted my comment. I’m sorry you had trouble with it!

I hope the editorial calendar helps us both!
