Laurie at Living Power tagged me to find out seven things about me that no one knows. I had to really think about that because I try to be pretty transparent (in real life, and here on my blog). I have finally come up with a list.
Seven Things (Almost) Nobody Knows About Me:
- When I was growing up, I wanted to have a name like Samantha or Alexandra. Then I could go by “Sam” or “Alex,” and people who had just seen my name written somewhere would be surprised I wasn’t a boy when they actually met me in person.
- I can’t sleep if my feet aren’t just the right temperature.
- Growing up, I always wished I could swap birth weights with my brother. His birth weight was 7 pounds, 11 ounces. (Mine was only two ounces more.) It sounded cool to say “7-11.” (Yes, I’m dating myself. 7-11 stores don’t exist on every corner anymore.)
- I have wanted to be a writer since I was in first grade, when I wrote a Pulitzer-worthy story about a child and some bubbles. (Where did I misplace that manuscript, anyway?)
- I have been working on a scarf I promised to my younger daughter for over six months. (I like the idea of knitting better than I like knitting.)
- I hate pantyhose—and avoid wearing them whenever possible.
- I have an idea for a novel—but have barely gotten started writing it.
There you have it!
I have met a lot of new folks on Twitter lately, so I’m going to tag a few people I’d like to learn more about. (Everyone else—feel free to join in! You know I like you too!) What are seven things nobody knows about you?

Love the foot thing! I need to have mine in just the right position. And I’d love to hear more about your book idea! Is the character Sam or Alex??
So glad you did this. It’s really fun getting to know you better!
Thanks, Laurie! I enjoyed it too, although it was hard to think of seven things not many people know!
No, the book isn’t about Sam or Alex! It’s actually a historical novel, and that’s what’s tripping me up—doing the research needed for the setting! I don’t have the time right now!

I’m trying to catch up from being sick, so I just posted my seven things. This was tough! http://reshapingmyheart.blogspot.com/2011/01/seven-things-i-got-tagged.html
I’m still recovering, Hope, so I understand. Thanks for participating! I enjoyed your post.
I found it difficult to think of seven things too!

I have the same thing going with my feet. My husband often chuckles because everything will be covered except my feet!
That’s funny, Becky! It’s good to know I’m not alone!
