For years I “lost” the part of myself that enjoys watching great movies. I let the kids watch their DVDs and cartoons, and I immersed myself in books. I didn’t realize how much I missed it until a few years ago, when I began watching them again. I’m always on the lookout for family-friendly entertainment, so I was very excited to hear about Abel’s Field!
Abel’s Field follows 17-year-old Seth as he struggles to provide for his younger sisters after their mother dies and their father abandons them. He is bullied by the members of the football team and is punished for fighting with an assignment to do work on the football field under the supervision of Abel, a quiet maintenance man. As Seth’s situation gets worse, he considers options that will change his life forever. As his friendship with Abel develops, he realizes that Abel may have the answers he’s searching for.
My family and I enjoyed this movie. We identified with the characters, had great discussions about some of the topics in the movie, and were moved by the conclusion. While my 7-year-old watched most of it, I would say that this film is better suited for older children, teens, and adults. (It will keep their attention better.)

Sounds like a good movie. Thanks!
I’d like it for myself for now, and for my daughter eventually. She is only almost 3 right now.
Watching a good movie is one of the few things my teenage boys will still do with me! This sounds like a great movie. Thank you for the giveaway!
