I am a writer and stay-at-home mom to two young daughters. I enjoy reading, writing, Bible study, homeschooling, and spending time with friends and family.
I am involved with a program for young writers in my area and am a teacher-consultant with the local site of the National Writing Project. I am a former public school teacher and spent a year as an artist-in-residence for the regional arts and humanities council.
I am also an advocate/case manager for my younger daughter, who has chronic health issues, sensory processing disorder, and learning disabilities.
I have had several articles and anecdotes published. I am a regular contributor at The Homeschool Village and Home Educating Family’s blog and co-host Mustard Seed Planting with Rebecca at Mom’s Mustard Seeds on Wednesdays. I am also speaking with Heather Laurie about special needs homeschooling at The 2:1 Conference in April 2012.
If you’re interested in knowing even more about me, read this interview that Chris Goforth conducted and featured on his blog. He asked me some great questions and really got me to open up!
