I remembered to take pictures on our first day of school this year! (I love having a smartphone with a camera.)
Before I even got my eyes open and my brain in full gear, BookGirl was fully engaged in her lessons for the first day of fourth grade.
Princess Roo, however, was a bit more reluctant to get started with her first day of second grade.
I finally pulled her out of hiding (although we didn’t make it far past the easel), and she settled in to work.
I finally got them together for some first day of (home)school photos.

Jennifer, they’re growing up so quickly…..I’ve so enjoyed learning and growing with you over the past few years…and watching those sweet girls grow up – now…we just have to meet in real life!
They really are, Rebecca! I have enjoyed our friendship too—sharing life together by phone and our blogs. I look forward to meeting you in real life too! That’s definitely next!
Our students look more like Princess Roo – love that photo! Looking forward to sharing our homeschool experiences. Blessings!
Ha! It’s good to know I’m not alone, Marianne! I’m looking forward to sharing with you too! Thanks!
I like the name of you school. ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ are on our reading list this year for my 5th grader.
Thanks! We read the entire Chronicles of Narnia series in 2011, and it helped us find a name for our homeschool.
Your girls are precious! I hope y’all have a blessed year!
Thank you!
I forgot our first day of school photo this year :/
You’re girls are beautiful. Hope you have a great year!
Don’t worry about it! We haven’t gotten one every year, honestly. I just happened to remember this year!
Thank you so much. I am blessed, indeed. Have a great year yourself—it can happen even without first day photos! 😉
