Chewelry
Update: The winner of the Chewelry necklace is Elizabeth P.!
My daughter has had a need to suck or chew on something since birth. I did the best I could at accommodating her needs with pacifiers and chewing gum and breath mints (when she got older), and she tried to meet the need herself by putting everything in her mouth long past the time when that’s considered normal behavior. When she was diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder, I began learning other ways to help her meet her needs. On Twitter, I learned about Chewelry, and I ordered a pink heart necklace for Princess Roo. This is the first picture I took of her wearing it.
That necklace has stayed in my purse since then. She pulls it out and uses it when needed, and it’s finally beginning to show wear, which means I need to order a new one. 😉
When I began thinking about Autism Awareness Month, I knew I wanted to give a Chewelry necklace away. I emailed KidCompanions, and they were gracious enough to agree!
I am giving away one Chewelry necklace – winner’s choice – to an adult (ages 18 or older) in the U.S. or Canada. This giveaway is not sponsored, administered, endorsed, or promoted by Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or any other social media site. All information provided is shared with me, and the winner’s information will be shared with KidCompanions so that the Chewelry necklace can be sent to the winner. Disclosure: I purchased my daughter’s Chewelry necklace two years ago. All opinions expressed are my own. I received no compensation for this post. I asked KidCompanions to sponsor this giveaway, and they graciously agreed.
Thanks for the Chewelry giveaway. I’m not sure if I’m commenting in the right place for my entry. My son just recently started chewing on his fingers. We have tried several OT interventions but none have worked. I thought maybe something from Chewelry will help.

Love love love!! Bubba FINALLY got one and had it for a few days before losing it!!
I have been REALLY wanting to order a new one!!
My Aspi boy has never had a problem with chewing, BUT. My 8YO still chews all kinds of things. Chewelry has been recommended but we haven’t been able to afford a try.
How neat! MyDD used to chew on my scapular all the time! I have a nephew that uccassionally sucks on his shirt sleeves – not a big deal except in Winter when having a wet shirt could make you cold! THanks for the introduction to another good product!
We have tried everything, except this necklace. I would love to try it with my daughter…it is nice that it looks like a typical necklace.
My 6 y/o DS has a high oral stim drive. He’s chewed on everything since he could chew. I think Chewelry would be awesome because he can stash it under his shirt when not in use.
We need to do something more, my 7 year old is chewing on the neck of his shirt again.
We absolutely LOVE chewelry around here! I am finally making break throughs with the boys chewing on their cheeks, lips, chins, fingers, arms, and toys! The only hard part is that with 3 kids needing them, the cost adds up quickly!
this is great. my son is constantly chewing on his clothes!!!
What a great giveaway!! My son is almost 5 and is a heavy chewer. We got him on of these and he chews on it as needed.

My son chews on his clothes, so this would be just what he needs. Can’t wait to see the different designs available!
Nice giveaway. What do I like about chewlery? It looks like a great safe alternative to everything else my child likes to put in his mouth and chew on. Looks sturdy so it can hold up to chewing and reasonably priced. Also like that it has a neutral look to it so other kids his age might be able to ignore it and he can use it in school.
John Caleb loves to chew! We so need another one
Of these…
I would love to win this for my son
My daughter is extremely oral. This might be the answer we are looking for, for her chewing issues. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to try and win!
As an OT I work with many clients who are at a very low socioeconomic status. I like to be able to win items to have things on hand for those who may need them. This is a fantastic product!!
That’s wonderful! Don’t miss the weighted blanket giveaway, Tina!
I love the different options and how it can be appropriate for either gender washes well.
I love the idea of chewlery! It’s a safe option for kids like my son who at times feel the need to have something in their mouth.
