This week was a LONG week. We had more roller coaster drama days about insurance coverage for Roo’s infusion medication (again, and we thought we had that resolved!), and I spent the week preparing for the garage sale we had this morning. PD had a dermatology appointment. Roo had her usual appointments. I had a nephrology appointment, and we had to get lessons done in the middle of it all!
I have been busy, so I haven’t spent lots of time online because I’ve tried to use “down time” to sleep. I did, however, manage to run across some blog posts that really encouraged and inspired me on this often-difficult journey called “life.” I’d like to share them with you now. I hope at least one of them will encourage or inspire you.
- “Piles of Stones” by Holly Nelson on her blog Live Rejoicing Every Day!
- “Day 334: When the million dollar preacher tells you to hang on” by Jason Wert on his blog Mustard Seed Year
- “Mustard Seed Planting: The Gift of the Season” by Rebecca Brandt on her blog Mom’s Mustard Seeds
- “Worship Wednesday: Marveling at the Incarnation” by Melissa at Sisters ‘N Cloth
- “Quality Time” by Michelle (aka SomeGirl) on her blog SomeGirl’s Website
- “Ho, Ho, Help Me” by Sarah, one of the wonderful writers at ChosenFamilies.org
What inspired or encouraged you this week?
Wow! Thank you! I’m humbled that you would include me.
You’re welcome, Jason! Thanks for the post. It was exactly what I needed to read that day.
Sweet friend…even on your worst days…YOU encourage me! Sending you BIG hugs!!!! Take a BREAK from school….enjoy this month with your girls and get some rest!!!! I wish I could come and help you….and to be included in this list….is well…you always do something…that humbles me and reminds me of the love of a friend!
Thanks, Rebecca! We are not taking the whole month off, but we are definitely taking it easy. It helps that we already have over 80 days of school behind us this school year! I know you would be right here if you were near. Knowing that we’re in your prayers, reading your e-mails, hearing your voice—those help more than you know. Thank you!
Thank you, Jennifer! So nice of you to take time out of your hard week to ‘pass it on’. That says a lot about you. So funny, I also read many of those blog posts. The work of the Holy Spirit never ceases to amaze me. To Him be the glory!
You’re welcome, Holly! I really enjoyed the post. Thanks for taking the time to pull it together and hit “Publish!” Amen! He is wonderful!
