Homeschool Mother’s Journal: Amazing News!

Homeschool Mother's Journal -

In my life this week…

I didn’t do well on my Hello Mornings! Challenge this week, but I gave myself lots of grace because I have fought a headache most of the week. (My next chiropractor appointment is Tuesday! I think an adjustment might help.) I have also learned quite a bit about essential oils, especially Thieves oil, thanks to some bloggy friends of mine.

In our homeschool this week…

We studied about the Netherlands a bit more, and then we started reading Swiss Twins by Lucy F. Perkins. (We love Heritage History!) We read in Made in Heaven for science and did our regular studies for math, language arts, and reading.

Helpful homeschooling tips or advice to share…

“Just keep swimming.” Sometimes we have to have the same diligence and perseverance that we teach our children in this homeschooling adventure. Keep going, mom! It pays off. We will reap the harvest!

My favorite thing this week was…

Seeing my face on the speaker page for the Teach Them Diligently Convention in Nashville! I am so excited. I will be speaking in the special needs track, and I would love to see you there!

My kiddos’ favorite thing this week was…

BookGirl has almost mastered the splits for dance. Princess Roo has done a lot of artwork and even designed some note cards to mail to a friend in California!

Things I’m working on…

I’m still working on a lot of projects, including some I can’t discuss yet. Suffice it to say that I am excited and amazed at what God is doing right now!

I’m grateful for…

God’s work in, around, and through me.

I’m praying for…

Some friends who are going through some tough medical situations with themselves and their children.

I rewarded my kids this week by…

Allowing chocolate! 😉

Something I am ogling or have my eye on…

A Singin’ in the Rain DVD. Princess Roo’s tap dance for recital this year will be the title song from that musical. The girls have never seen the movie, and I want them to see what they’re going around the house singing about!

A photo, video, link, or quote to share (silly, serious or both!)…
