Homeschool Mother’s Journal: Valentine’s Parties Galore!

Homeschool Mother's Journal - iHomeschoolNetwork.com

In my life this week…

It has been a busy week here! It started last Saturday when BookGirl and I made four batches of Princess Roo’s allergen-free cookie dough for this week’s parties. We put them in the freezer, and on Monday we baked, iced, and decorated two batches for the girls’ Valentine’s parties at dance. We did another batch for the homeschool group’s party on Valentine’s Day, and one sits in the freezer, untouched. I’ll probably use it for a birthday party Princess Roo will attend next week.

In our homeschool this week…

We have done our usual routine and added in some of the Beginnings series by Creation Today with Eric Hovind for science. We have enjoyed it, and I have learned a lot too!

The girls also got in some unusual handwriting practice this week when they signed forty valentines each for the homeschool group’s valentine exchange!

My favorite thing this week was…

Receiving a pair of valentine socks from the girls. They were so excited about them!

My kiddos’ favorite thing this week was…

Getting gifts, candy, and some extra attention from family and friends for Valentine’s Day.

Things I’m working on…

My chapters for the eBook I’m working on with the wonderful women of iHomeschool Network, and . . .

More exciting news: I have another speaking engagement! I am working on sessions for the Exceptional Children Expo that will take place in March 12-14! Mark your calendar now. This is one conference that you can attend from home!

I will also be speaking at a child care conference at the local community college next weekend, so I’m preparing for those two sessions too.

I’m cooking…

We had homemade burritos for dinner on Valentine’s Day. The rest of the week was a blur. We cooked, but I would have to check the menu to figure out what we had!

I’m grateful for…

Fourteen wonderful Valentine’s Days with my husband!

I’m praying for…

BookGirl’s speedy recovery from a sinus infection. Our nation and events around the world. Friends who are going through treatment and testing for various medical issues.

I rewarded my kids this week by…

Letting them have WAY too much sugar during the Valentine’s Day celebrations.

Something I am ogling or have my eye on…

There are several Colleen Coble eBooks that have been marked down on Amazon that I would like to buy.

A photo, video, link, or quote to share (silly, serious or both!)…
