As 2011 draws to a close, I’m thinking about what has been. It has been a difficult year, but it has also been full of blessings and joy.
I’m enjoying each moment and trying to stay in the moment instead of spending all of my time and energy dwelling on the past or trying to guess what might happen in the future.
Whatever 2012 holds for me, for my family, we will be okay. God is with us, and He gave us each other to share the journey. As I think and pray about the new year, one verse keeps coming to mind:
“Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert
and streams in the wasteland.”
Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV1984)
He is the God who makes a way where there seems to be no way, the One who makes the impossible possible. I can’t wait to see what He’s going to do next!
I’m still enjoying a holiday break with my family, so I’ll go ahead and wish you a very Happy New Year! See you next week!
What are your thoughts as we approach the beginning of 2012?
Please share the verses God is using in your life this week with Rebecca and me by linking up or leaving a comment here or at Mom’s Mustard Seeds. I’m always so blessed by your posts!
