My Blog Plan Review & Giveaway!

Confession: I have a spreadsheet for my blog’s content calendar that I love. I really thought I was all set with that, but the problem is that my old-fashioned self really loves paper and pencil for planning, and sometimes I don’t have a handy internet connection, which brings my on-the-go planning to a screeching halt. This is not a good option for me as a special needs homeschooling mom/blogger who spends a lot of time in therapy waiting rooms and traveling to and from out-of-town specialist appointments.

Enter My Blog Plan from HEDUA. This is the same company that makes the My Well Planned Day Planner I have used for several years and love to keep our homeschool records in. It contains a lot of the same great features too, except they’re tailored for bloggers!

My Blog Plan is half the size of My Well Planned Day Planner, so it’s easier to throw into a tote bag or my purse to take with me. It’s very pretty, so I really want to make notes in it (just like my homeschool planner!). It also has the following features:

  • monthly calendars
  • weekly calendars
  • plenty of space for taking notes and writing down ideas
  • articles that help you grow as a blogger
  • checklists that help you improve your performance
  • places to note your most successful posts and keep track of your stats
  • and more!

The only drawback I see is that I have to wait until July 2014 to start using it. I can’t wait!

My biggest challenge when doing blog planning is to implement the routine that I set up. It looks great on paper, but doesn’t always pan out in real life, ya know?

I ? the homeschool planner and can imagine that I’ll love this blog planner just as much!

Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  2. Heather says:

I loved this planner when homeschooling. Being rather new at blogging, I saw this yesterday on a thread and was most interested. This would help tremendously as I am needing the extra knowledge in the planner as well as a layout form to plan in advance and take blogging to the next level! Thank you!

  3. Jenny says:

My biggest challenge is trying to balance family life and blogging. I may have a great blog plan in place, but family first may come along and mess up the plan.

  4. Jacqueline says:

Motivation – keeping the commitment to staying on it even when I’m not feeling all inspired. That is probably the hardest part! Love this planner – what a neat giveaway!

  5. Hey, Jennifer!
My biggest blogging challenge is keeping going when one post gets only a few comments, or (gasp!) none…
    Thanks for this opportunity. :)

  6. Lori says:

Ooooh! Please count me in! My biggest challenge is trying to fit in all the things I need to do for school and family and sneaking in some time for work and blogging. This planner sounds amazing! Thank you! Lori

  7. Jamie says:

My biggest challenge is getting ahead with my content. I’m always writing at the last minute. It’s honest, since I’m always LIVING in the moment {smile} but I think some of my craft posts, etc. would be more helpful to my readers if they were actually published BEFORE the holiday or event they are about, so they could use the ideas if they wanted to.

  8. Kela Nellums says:

My biggest challenge is consistency of writing posts!

  9. Sarah says:

My biggest challenge in planning is knowing where I wrote this or that down. I tried to create my own planner for blogging this year and I’m realizing that I am missing SO MUCH. I have pages stapled in, others falling out of a lame attempt at a pocket, it’s such a mess it’s probably hindering me more than helping me.

  10. David says:

I’ve been looking at this planner for about three months! Thanks for the great review.

My biggest challenge is coming up with relevant topics! I sometime want to get all in the weeds and have to remember that my viewers may not even want that!

  11. Been wanting to try the planner out! My biggest challenge with my blog is definitely planning ahead! Thanks for the review!

  12. Lara M says:

I’ve been itching to try out this planner! My biggest challenge is scheduling around therapy and keeping up with link ups in one place. Well, that’s two, but they are equally challenging for me!

  13. Lisa white says:

Wow! Sounds amazing, thanks for the opportunity to win one this!

  14. Alicia says:

I would have to say my biggest challenge is finding where I wrote down post ideas. Sometimes there might be a scrap of paper or in an old notebook.

  15. Lori says:

The hardest thing for me is sticking with my plans. I always find that something comes up and once I get behind at the first moment, it throws me off for several weeks and months with blog posts.

  16. I’d love a copy. Like you, I have a spreadsheet, but I think I’d prefer having a pre-bound planner like this one. Thanks for the opportunity!

  17. Rhonda says:

My biggest challenge to blog planning is the unknown variable of life. Planning ahead isn’t a problem until something pops new pops up and puts me in a quandary over how to rearrange my plans. Then I spend all my time planning, and no time writing.

Truthfully, implementation is my biggest problem in blogging. I can plan, but putting the plan into action is a weak point.

  18. Vicki Arnold says:

Consistency is my issue in just about any area I am struggling. This looks awesome.

  19. Hmm… I have 2 big challenges. I tend to be a “fly by the seat of my pants” kind of planner, which is NOT helpful. Then when I manage to plan something, the follow-through is rather abysmal… so…. yeah, both of those =P

  20. For me, the toughest part lately is simply having time to sit down and write. By the time I do have time, I’m exhausted and brain dead! At least I know this season won’t last forever.

  21. Naomi says:

My biggest challenge is finding time in a very busy schedule. If I don’t have a game plan, it all comes to a halt. I really need a blog planner…

  22. Betsy Price says:

My biggest challenge is not getting discouraged when it seems very few are reading it. It makes me wonder if it’s worth my effort.

  23. Heather B. says:

I don’t have a blog right now, but am planning on launching one this summer. I would guess that my biggest challenge when it comes to planning would be committing to posting on a consistent basis.

  24. Katey says:

My biggest challenge is get post scheduled ahead of time I do ok for awhile, then I don’t….it is much easier when stuff is scheduled out….

  25. Amanda says:

I would love to win! I’ve been trying different “systems” to organize and plan….. But I haven’t quite found what works best for me yet. I more struggle with the time to do it! Lol and solidifying a solid plan of when to post

  26. Kristi says:

Planning time to sit and write is my current biggest struggle, especially since college started for me this week! Time is valuable.

  27. Heather says:

    Thank you!

  28. That planner is really pretty! My biggest challenge – I make a plan, then never look at it again. It is like it never existed. LOL I am hopeless…

  29. Malia says:

My biggest challenge is my own flakiness. I love to write….sometimes….and other times, I have nothing at all worth putting on paper. I would prefer to be more consistent and disciplined.

  30. My biggest challenge is deciding what to write. So much goes on in my day to day (that’s putting it mildly) and I struggle to come up with content. I also struggle with coming up with social media content sometimes.
