Coming Soon! A New Series: Be Fully Persuaded
I have read blog posts, Tweets, and Facebook statuses. I have responded to texts, phone calls, and face-to-face conversations. The circumstances are all very different, but they have a lot in common too.
Families are struggling. People are desperate to see God at work in their situations. They are barely clinging to the hope and faith that sustained them in better times. Whether the needs are spiritual, physical, financial, mental, or emotional, they are very real, and they weigh heavy on those who are waiting.
I have prayed over many of these situations, whether the people involved realize it or not. My heart aches as I see the struggle. I want people to be edified and uplifted, encouraged, to know that God is still working and moving in lives and situations.
As I thought about encouraging others and bringing glory to God and His work, three verses came to mind:
Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.
Romans 4:20-21 (NIV)
They triumphed over him
by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony . . .Revelation 12:11a (NIV)
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
Hebrews 10:23 (NIV)
The new series, Be Fully Persuaded, will share stories of how God is faithful to His promises today. I will share stories of God’s faithfulness to meet the needs of my family and will invite guests to post their own stories of God’s provision and faithfulness in every area of their lives. (I will send writer’s guidelines to those interested in contributing to the series.)
This series will begin very soon, on Thursdays, right here. If you don’t already subscribe to my blog, please use the box below to do that now. I don’t want you to miss a single story of God’s faithfulness and provision!
I would be interested in sharing my family’s story if you’re still in need of posts.
Thank you, Lisa! I will email you with the writer’s guidelines when I get the finalized.
I’m looking forward to it!
Thank you, Caroline! Me too. I need that kind of encouragement myself!
I would love to share my story!
Thank you, Heather! I’ll be in touch soon!
Jennifer! What a wonderful idea and what great timing given what your family is experiencing now! Can’t wait.
Thank you, Carol Anne! I’m looking forward to it too. I know it will be an encouragement to me as well!
Carol Anne has a great story that fits this topic and is a great writer. #justsayin
😉
I hear you, Tabitha! I know how to track her down. She’s on my list now. 😉
It sounds awesome. Our small group’s discussion topic for this week is faithfulness and longsuffering.
Sue
Thank you, Sue! That sounds like a great discussion. Life is painful, but God is always there in the midst of it.
What a great topic, we all need encouragement! I’d be interested in contributing.
Thanks, Joesette! I will add you to the list. I’ll be in touch soon!
Ooohhhh, I like this idea. I can’t wait to read it. I might have something to share, don’t know.
Thanks, Ticia! You can let me know anytime you’re interested in sharing, and we’ll work something out. There isn’t a set length for the series. It will run for as long as we have stories to tell. (That could be a LONG time. God is faithful!)
What a great idea Jennifer! God is refining us and to hear how He is working in other people’s lives will be powerful!
Thank you, Marianne! My prayer is that the Body of Christ will be encouraged and that God will be glorified as we celebrate His faithfulness!
