What's in the Bible? Volume 10: Jesus is the Good News

Disclosure: I received a free copy of What’s in the Bible? Volume 10, along with a second Volume 10 and a Volume 1 to use in a giveaway, from What’s in the Bible? in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own. I received no compensation for this review. I only recommend products my family and I enjoy. What’s in the Bible? Volume 10: Jesus is the Good News

What’s in the Bible? DVDs are full of so much great, easy-to-understand information about the Bible that it’s a great way to enhance your family’s study of the Bible. That’s why I was excited to find Volume 10 in my mailbox. The girls were happy too.

I have watched some of the DVDs from the Old Testament, but I wasn’t sure what the transition would be like to the New Testament. I should have known that Phil Vischer and his team at What’s in the Bible? would do an amazing job!

What's in the Bible? Volume 10: Jesus is the Good News

The Volume 10 DVD has two episodes on it. The first episode explains the 400 years between the Old and New Testaments and how Jesus’ arrival was perfect timing. The second episode goes into the life and ministry of Jesus, weaving accounts from all four gospels together. It is a moving segment. So moving, in fact, that I cried when I watched it.

What’s in the Bible? Volume 10 has a lot to recommend it:

  • A great explanation of those “silent centuries” between the Old and New Testaments.
  • A moving compilation of the four gospels into one half-hour episode.
  • A free digital copy included with each DVD.
  • Free coloring and activity pages from What’s in the Bible?
  • Family-friendly humor.
  • Facts from the Bible, presented in a way that’s easy for every member of the family to understand.

What’s in the Bible? also has a special running from now until April 1, 2013:

What’s in the Bible? has provided one copy of Volume 10 and one volume of Volume 1 for me to give away! I will give these away as a set, and there will be one winner. You must be 18 or older to win and live in the continental United States. The giveaway begins when this post is published and will end on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 9:00 pm CDT.

I am seeing a lot of complaints online from readers who don’t like all the possible entries for giveaways, so I’m going to try something different this time:

  1. Subscribe to my blog using the form below the post.
  2. Leave a comment letting me know which email address you used to subscribe.
  3. Verify your subscription by clicking the link in the email you receive after you subscribe.

On Saturday at 9:00 pm CDT, the plug-in “And the Winner Is” will randomly select one winner from the comments. I will check my email subscribers list and see if you have an active subscription to the blog. If so, I will notify you that you have won, and you will have 48 hours to respond to that email with your name and mailing address. If your email subscription is not active, or if I don’t hear from you within 48 hours, I will have the plug-in randomly choose another winner and repeat the process.

Update: The winner of this giveaway is . . . Heather!

Thank you for participating!
