Wisdom from Corrie ten Boom – Week 2

As we look at some changes taking place with Princess Roo’s health and medical treatment and we look around us at issues that friends, family, and the world in general are facing, it’s clear that we live in very uncertain times. I have spent the day in fervent prayer, and one of Corrie ten Boom’s quotes kept coming to mind over and over. It is that one that I would like to share with you this week:

“Worrying is carrying tomorrow’s load with today’s strength—carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time. Worrying doesn’t empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.”

What a wonderful quote. Corrie ten Boom was such a wonderful, wise, and Godly woman. Thanks for the reminder that worrying does not help us; instead, it just takes away from the only moment we are guaranteed of having — this one.
