My Week in a Word: Uncle!

This week has been a difficult one. The girls are still getting over upper respiratory stuff—or coming down with it again. It’s hard to tell. I’ve got an ear infection from the round two stuff, and all I want to do is sleep because the ear pain is keeping me up at night.

Despite all of this, we have managed to do lessons each day this week. Roo has made progress in her reading and math. PD’s sprint through her curriculum continues to amaze me. We enjoyed another week in science and social studies, and we continued reading through Proverbs as a family!

I was blessed to be able to stay on track (even a day ahead!) in my Bible in 90 Days reading too. With DH’s help, I stayed caught up on the dishes and laundry, and we had hot meals on the table every night.

Even in the midst of the difficulty, there has been progress, fun, and laughter. As we depend on Him, He shows Himself faithful to see us through the rough spots—big and small.

For more thoughts on praising Him from the broken places in your life, please visit my friend Sara’s blog and read “Broken Praise.”

How have you seen God’s presence in your broken places this week?
